Idealist Communications
Idealist Gifts is a project of Idealist Communications, a marketing and creative services company for organizations devoted to making a positive difference in the world.
Our services are available exclusively to individuals and organizations involved in positive social change, such as nonprofits, socially responsible businesses, independent political campaigns, indy media, social entrepreneurs, authors, and others promoting the public good.
Our support for nonprofit missions does not relegate your financial success to the backseat. We are devoted to making socially responsible businesses as successful as their profit-driven counterparts. Our specialites include e-commerce, creative PR campaigns, Guerrilla Marketing, Internet marketing, and using affiliate programs to boost sales while employing talented idealists.
Our Products and Services
Our products and services are all designed to make your world-changing projects pack a punch. Whether it's a dynamic website, a media campaign, or a new product release, we can help you grab your audience and mobilize action.
Our Clients
For more than 20 years, our team members have worked for the good guys, including MacNeil-Lehrer Productions (the PBS NewsHour), Earth Day Network, The Green Party, Student Environmental Action Coalition, Southern Appalachian Forest Coalition, Gulf Coast Environmental Defense, Earth Day Pensacola, Ralph Nader, Smart Spaces Inside and Out, and many others.
We work for large and small organizations, as well as political campaigns, authors, entrepreneurs, small businesses and e-commerce enterprises.
Our Approach
Every world-changing organization knows the frustration of trying to do good things on a shoestring. We understand because we've been there. Our programs utilize the Guerrilla Marketing principle of using time, energy, and imagination instead of big budgets to get results. And our results are every bit as hip, techno-savvy, and effective as the big budget version.
Our Process
We view ourselves as facilitators of your vision. When you contact us about a project, we'll arrange a time to discuss the scope of the project, and from that discussion, we'll provide a proposal and estimate. We work on an hourly basis or by quote, whichever is appropriate to the project. We do not accept commission-based work, but are open to discussing partnerships.
Once the project begins, we proceed in the manner that best suits you and the project. We will either stay in close contact with you throughout, or if you prefer, we will go away, do our magic, and deliver a product for your review. Revisions beyond a specified percentage of the total project time are charged hourly.
Our Prices
We deliberately keep our prices affordable for small nonprofits and socially responsible companies, but we gotta eat! Please don't ask us to work pro bono or on commission, or to provide a quote a project for which you have no funding.
